The main character, Anh, loves to cook and sees it as a creative outlet. His job leaves him dissatisfied and wanting more. After he and his brother Quoc hear about a Vietnamese Cook Off taking place in Little Saigon, California, they impulsively embark upon what becomes an epic journey.
Although Anh is determined to prove his own talents, he soon learns the value of teamwork, friendship, and family through his experience. During this journey, he is able share his philosophy AND his entrees with the world, realizing the recipe for fulfillment requires just a dash of initiative and a generous portion of courage and cultural awareness. |
